The fixboot command writes a new boot sector partition to replace the damaged one. The rebuildbcd command rebuilds the boot configuration data that contains information about how Windows will boot up when the system is turned on. If there are multiple memory sticks on the PC, chances are that one of them might be the driver solution culprit. Remove one of the sticks and leave the other inserted. Power on the PC and check if the read disk error still happens.
